Astronomy in Action Space Rangers Camp Terms & Conditions

Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully. If you have any questions about them or do not wish to accept them, please contact us before submitting your camp registration. Please direct any questions about Space Rangers Camp to camp@astronomyinaction.com.

For the purposes of these Terms & Conditions, “We/Our/Us” and “Camp/The Camp” refers to both “Astronomy in Action Space Rangers Camp” and “Astronomy in Action Inc.” We may change these Terms & Conditions at any time by updating this page. Terms & Conditions for Space Rangers Camp can be accessed at any time from the bottom bar of our camp registration page, or by visiting www.astronomyinaction.com/camp-tc.

  1. Camp spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
  2. The fee for camp includes a $100 non-refundable deposit to hold your child’s place in the camp.
  3. Cancellation: Registrants may withdraw registration from camp at any time, by submitting a request in writing to camp@astronomyinaction.com. Depending on the submission date of cancellation requests, the following conditions will apply:
    • Withdrawal prior to June 1st, 2026 will result in a full refund of fees, less the $100 deposit;
    • After June 1st, 2026 and prior to June 20th, 2026, 66% of camp fees paid will be refunded;
    • After June 20th, 2026, and prior to the first day of camp, 33% of the total camp fees paid will be refunded;
    • There will be no refunds after 12:01 am on the first day of camp;
    • All decisions regarding refund of fees are final and made at the sole discretion of Astronomy in Action.
  4. If enrollment for any camp location is less than 33%, camp will be cancelled at this location. This cancellation will occur no later than June 15th, 2026. In case of cancellation by Astronomy in Action, any payments will be fully refunded to registrants, including the $100 deposit.
  5. Camp only accepts children born between January 1st, 2014 and December 31st, 2020.
  6. A parent/guardian must complete the application form, agree to camp Terms & Conditions, and complete full payment of camp fees to have their child accepted for a spot in camp. To start camp on the first day, the waiver/liability form must also be signed and returned.
  7. The hours of camp programming are 9:00 am - 4:00 pm each day. All times are listed in Eastern Daylight Time (EDT). Camp venues will open to campers at 8:45 am each day, and close at 4:15 pm each day.
  8. Early drop off and late pick up will be available for an additional fee. Policies for extended hours will be communicated to registered campers by May 1st, 2026. Early drop off will commence at 8:00 am and late pick up will end at 5:00 pm.
  9. Campers are expected to behave appropriately toward fellow campers and camp staff. Any form of harassment, bullying, or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to, abusive language, hand gestures, sharing or displaying materials/images/video of an inappropriate nature, nudity, cyberbullying, or repeated disruption of camp programming.
  10. Failure to behave appropriately can result in removal of your child from camp for a portion of the day’s activities, an entire day’s session, or the remainder of the week of camp. Camp fees will not be refunded for any time forfeited due to inappropriate behaviour. All decisions are final and are made at the sole discretion of Astronomy in Action Inc.
  11. Astronomy in Action Inc. will take every precaution to ensure the safety and wellbeing of campers and staff. All locations will have a designated first aid staff member who is certified in first aid and CPR. If you have questions or concerns about anything related to camps, please contact camp@astronomyinaction.com.
  12. Information on camp programming and activities is given in good faith. All arrangements and activities are subject to change without notice. Astronomy in Action Inc. reserves the right to cancel, amend, or alter activities as we deem appropriate.
  13. Breach of these Terms & Conditions by campers and/or their parent(s)/guardian(s) will result in the cancellation of the booking and forfeiture of all paid camp fees.

Dietary Restrictions

Campers must bring their own lunch and snacks each day. Due to possible food allergies, all food must be nut-free.

Some venues will have refrigerators for food storage. Note that not all camp locations will have fridges or food storage facilities, so please plan packed lunches accordingly. Please contact camp@astronomyinaction.com with any questions.
