Ticket Purchases:

Tickets may be purchased online for Astronomy in Action live programming up to 5:00 pm the Thursday precedingthe date of a live programming event. Online purchases are subject to availability, and may be closed at any time prior to the event date for any reason, at the sole discretion of Astronomy in Action.

On the date of an event, tickets may be purchased in person at the event location. In-person purchases may have fewer payment options available. Purchases are subject to availability and may be suspended or closed at any time at the sole discretion of Astronomy in Action.

Ticket Redemption and Transfer:

Tickets may only be redeemed by the original ticket purchaser, in person on the date of the show, by showing proof of payment to staff in the form of a digital receipt, provided by Astronomy in Action within 48 hours of online ticket purchase. Astronomy in Action reserves the right to request proof of identity to confirm that the original ticket purchaser is redeeming the tickets for the correct showtime, and for the correct number of tickets.

Tickets may be transferred to another show time provided the following conditions are met:

  • The original show and the new show are both on the same show date
  • The request is made via our web contact form or via direct email to info@astronomyinaction.com more than 24 hours prior to the show date.
  • There are enough tickets available for the show for the transfer to be completed. If enough tickets are not available for the show, the transfer will be denied
  • Any additional ticket pricing is paid for transfers to a more expensive show

Requests for tickets to be transferred to a show on a different date may be submitted. These requests may be submitted via our contact form or via direct email to info@astronomyinaction.com. Transfers to a different date are at the sole discretion of Astronomy in Action, and are usually denied, except in the case of extenuating circumstances.

Tickets may also be transferred to another party more than 24 hours prior to the show date, by making a formal request through our website contact form or via direct email to info@astronomyinaction.com.

Tickets may be transferred to another party for redemption in person on the show date, provided they have a copy of the original receipt from the original ticket purchaser, as well as permission from that same party.

Refunds for ticket purchases:

Ticket purchases can be fully refunded for any show provided the following conditions are met:

  • The request is made via our web contact form or via direct email to info@astronomyinaction.com;
  • The request is made by 5:00 pm on the Thursday preceding the show.

Requests made after 5:00 pm on the Thursday preceding the show and more than 10 minutes before your scheduled show time are eligible for 50% refunds. Refunds typically appear within 48 hours, but may take up to 5-10 business days to be processed.

Please note that no refunds will be issued after 5:00 pm on the day before the show date, except in the case of extenuating circumstances, at the sole discretion of Astronomy in Action.

Late Arrivals and Missed Shows:

Arriving more than one minute past the scheduled start time of your ticketed show will transfer your status to ‘late.’ If you are considered late to the show, you may be admitted to your show in-progress up to 10 minutes past the scheduled start time of the show. Admission is solely at the discretion of Astronomy in Action staff and may be refused.

No refunds will be issued for anyone deemed late to the show, whether you are admitted to the show in progress or not.

If you miss your show entirely, you may be able to transfer your tickets to a later show on the same date, provided the following conditions are met:

  • You arrive to the venue in person to make the request;
  • Tickets are available for a later show;
  • You pay any additional fees for the show you are transferring to.

Even if all of these conditions are met, your request may be refused. All ticket-related requests are accepted or refused at the sole discretion of Astronomy in Action.

If you miss your scheduled show, tickets cannot be transferred to a future show date at the same or other location, except in extenuating circumstances.

This policy is updated regularly, and is effective as of April 25th, 2026.
